"Awaiting Spring"
“Awaiting Spring” is a painting in honor of women. It combines the anatomy of mammary glands (or breast lobules) with that of a cherry tree branch approaching full bloom.
It speaks of abundance and fruitfulness; Of femininity, patience and strength. The soft layering, the depth and the fertile imagery of this piece affirm the exquisite complex beauty of woman’s life-giving nature.
The title speaks literally about the time of year when cherry trees exhibit their beautiful and fragrant blossoms; But more importantly, it is a symbolic reference to the many times in a woman’s life when she must wait- anticipating and preparing for the cyclical course of physical and emotional experiences that are exclusive to our sex.

Please Allow 2-3 weeks for print delivery! Each canvas is custom ordered. (I have some very limited stock choices). If you have a time constraint and would like them delivered more quickly, please contact me when you order. I will work with my printer to accomodate your needs!

Larger or non-standard sizes. The canvas giclée prints may be ordered in proportional non-standard sizes. ie, an original with the dimensions of 24" x 36" may be ordered in a 14" x 21" if necessary. Contact me for ordering off-sizes!
